Michelle L. Cass primarily focuses her practice in the areas of family and domestic relations proceedings. Ms. Cass counsel's clients on the various aspects of dissolution of marriage and paternity proceedings including property division, parenting time, allocation of parental responsibilities (formerly known as custody), child support, relocation, contempt and enforcement proceedings, pre and post-nuptial agreements, and post-divorce issues. She is both a dedicated and thoughtful representative who is focused on amicable resolutions, and a fierce advocate, prepared to litigate when necessary.

Ms. Cass received her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2014, graduating cum laude. She focused her studies in family law, and as a result earned a Certificate in Family Law. While in law school, Ms. Cass served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman, a United States District Court judge for the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Cass also served as a Teaching Assistant for a Legal Writing I course, and received CALI awards for earning the highest grade in several law school courses, including Legal Writing I, Legal Writing II, Legal Writing III, Trial Advocacy, and Abuse and Neglect. In addition, Ms. Cass earned the Benjamin J. Hooks Distinguished Service Award, awarded to law students completing 200+ hours of community service, which she earned while also working part-time as a law clerk in the family law field.

Committed to serving others, Ms. Cass is a volunteer mentor with the Chicago Bar Association's Legal Prep Charter School Mentoring Program. Ms. Cass also serves as a board member for the DePaul College of Law Family Law Advisory Board, is a member of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyer's Section Family Law committee, and is an executive board member for the Chicago Bar Association's Alliance for Women.
